Yeah, I'm really going to write about dieting.

Anyone who saw me around Christmas or New Years knows that I was looking just as pregnant as Keri. At 222 pounds I was at my heaviest ever. I had to buy a pair of 38in. pants because I couldn't fit into any of my other pants. I wore sweat pants everyday instead. Now, just three and a half weeks later, I've already lost 15 or 16 pounds and I can wear all my pants again.. I have not done any exorcise at all, I eat a lot of meat and cheese as well as carbs, I've been drunk a few times, and I don't eat any less than I did before. All I've done is sort of loosely follow the sugar busters diet. That means, no white bread, only whole wheat, same with tortillas and pasta, no corn or carrots, or potatoes, and most of all, no sugar. I haven't been very stict at all.. If I get something that turns out to have carrots or potatoes in it I still eat it. Basically I just stay away from anything with more than 5 grams of sugar per serving. If you are serious about losing weight you can avoid all sugar and lose it quicker. The only thing that is difficult for me is not drinking beer. However, I've been drinking gin and vodka and if I wanted to I could have red wine. This same diet worked just as well for Keri last year..

I'm only passing this on because I know people who have been doing painful things in order to lose weight. I also see people eating crappy "light" food that doesn't help anything because all it cuts out is the fat. Cutting out fat does very little to help you lose weight. The Atkin's diet (all fat, no carbs) proves that. If cutting out fat was all you needed to do to lose weitht then you wouldn't see all those fat vegitarians and chubby vegans.

I should also point out that on sugar busters you are only supposed to eat fruit either a half hour before eating or a two hours after eating other food. Then again, if you don't eat fruit then you don't have to worry about that. The info I read said the very worst things were processed sugar, beer, and white bread. I guess white bread has to be turned into glucose (sugar) in order to be digested. The same with corn, potatoes and carrots, but they aren't so bad. You should still stay away from corn chips and corn tortillas most of the time. A couple of corn tortillas now and then isn't too bad though. Keri's tacos are my favorite food. Oh yeah, "fructose" is a great sugar substitute. It doesn't have the bad aftertaste other substitutes have. Great for coffee or putting on whole wheat cerial. The info I read said if you are a drinker it is best to stick with red wine.

The sugar busters diet is the one Tom and Stacy Hopkins used to lose like 100 pounds. I don't plan to lose that much, but it's still good damage control.
